Absolutely stunning healthcare centre with world class providers and staff. I booked an appointment thru the walk medical centre and received a referral for physio therapy. The physiotherapist took the time to listen to my concerns and put together a treatment plan that really helped me get back on my feet. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience at HealthOne Rehab! From the first check in the Front Desk Staff create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They are knowledgable and are happy to help your with your questions or concerns. I had some back pain addressed by Dr. Greencorn (chiro) and Amir, RMT. Both practitioners performed thorough assessment and established a treatment that fit me goals and needs. I am truly feeling much better! I could not recommend HealthOne services more!

Specialized Services

These are injections created from the patient’s blood. They stimulate and accelerate the body’s healing process.

These are often used to manage arthritis, tendinopathies, and bursitis. They can reduce inflammation in areas with injured tissues.

These use a hyaluronic acid solution. They are commonly used to treat osteoarthritis and work by increasing the cushioning and lubrication of synovial fluid in osteoarthritic joints.

Treatments

Shock Wave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is an effective treatment option for soft tissues that are injured, inflamed, or have scarring/adhesions. It works by directly targeting the tissue of the affected area and transmitting acoustic shockwave pulses. A shockwave is a wave that creates a change in pressure.

Shockwave therapy can help you in many ways. It can improve your circulation, reduce muscle spasms, encourage your body’s natural healing response, and break down existing scar tissue or adhesions. It is a non-invasive treatment which means the possible side effects (bruising or swelling) will be minimal.

There are many ways shockwave therapy can benefit you, including increased circulation, decreased muscle spasms, stimulation of the body’s natural healing response, and the breakdown of scar tissue and adhesions. As a non-invasive procedure, there will be miminal side effects (bruising/swelling) after treatment.

Laser Therapy

Laser Therapy is a treatment modality that targets the deep layers of tissue to offer effective relief of pain.

As a non-invasive procedure, the laser light can be adjusted to various wavelengths based on the area being treated. This makes it a top choice from medical professionals to help reduce inflammation, minimize pain, and repair tissues. Cold laser therapy is an alternative form of this treatment, however the difference is it uses a lower level of light and therefore doesn’t heat up the body. At HealthOne Rehab, our team members may suggest laser therapy as part of your treatment approach, which they will administer on their own.

At HealthOne, laser therapy can be administered by your rehabilitation provider as effective technique to improve your condition.

acupuncture needle treatment for back pain

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of Chinese Medicine where extremely thin needles are inserted into the area of treatment on the body.

The belief behind this method of treatment is that it promotes energy balance and the body’s natural ability to heal. In Western medicine, it is recognized as an effective way to relief pain and recover from injuries. There are lots of Rehab providers who use acupuncture in their practice to further support their patients’ healing journeys. At HealthOne, our team members are deeply experienced in treating patients using acupuncture.

Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound therapy is a helpful treatment option that can be used to heal the body’s tissues.

It can effectively speed up healing for injured tissues and ensure that new tissue is high quality. If tissues are compromised, ultrasound therapy can greatly help them improve. Similarly, if tissues are on the path to ‘normal’ recovery, ultrasound therapy will speed up the process. Your Rehab practitioner will evaluate your needs for treatment and determine whether ultrasound therapy would be a suitable treatment option for you.

IFC/TENS Therapy

Interferential Current Therapy harnesses the power of high-frequency signals to expedite the natural healing process within your muscles. It provides an efficient way to alleviate discomfort and restore your body to a state of optimal well-being.

During an Interferential Current session, your healthcare provider will strategically place electrodes on the skin over the injured area. Then, the IC device will emit small electrical impulses through your skin which will activate the nerves and tissues. This therapeutic approach triggers the release of endorphins, which have pain-relieving properties. It also promotes the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Furthermore, IFC therapy can be used to minimize pain and inflammation, alleviate swelling and muscle spasms.

Active Release Therapy

Active Release Therapy is a type of hands-on therapy that alleviates tension in the body’s soft tissues. When not addressed, repetitive strain and excessive workload on these tissues can result in muscle weakness, numbness, discomfort, tingling sensations, and a burning feeling.

Active Release Therapy is a type of hands-on therapy that alleviates tension in the body’s soft tissues. When not addressed, repetitive strain and excessive workload on these tissues can result in muscle weakness, numbness, discomfort, tingling sensations, and a burning feeling. ART serves as an efficient method for eliminating fibrous adhesive tissue buildup within the soft tissues, often stemming from injuries caused by strain, cumulative trauma, and prolonged tension.

Throughout the treatment process, you will be told how to move the affected body part in precise patterns while your healthcare provider applies focused compression and pressure to the area.

Services

Body Composition Analysis

With the assistance of our advanced body scanning device, our expert team will conduct a comprehensive assessment of various aspects of your health, including weight, body composition (body water, protein, bone density, and fat mass), hydration levels, and blood pressure.

Functional Movement Assessments

Movement and mobility play pivotal roles in maintaining a healthy life. This is why gaining a deeper understanding about how you move is so important. Functional Movement Assessments (FMAs) are an assessment of the quality of your movement.

It quantifies key factors such as mobility, stability, and functional abilities, shedding light on your rehabilitation requirements and areas that could use support.

At HealthOne, our highly skilled Kinesiologists are passionate about educating you throughout the process of your FMA. They will give you a digital scorecard that outlines the areas you performed well and areas that could use improvements. Additionally, your professional will suggest treatments that they think would support your health and wellness journey. We recommend annual re-assessments to check in your physical progress.
